Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm

Commercial Electrician Summary

Commercial Electrician Job Summary: The Commercial Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring and systems in commercial buildings. They will work with a variety of electrical components and systems, ensuring that they are up to safety and code standards. The Commercial Electrician will also troubleshoot electrical problems and provide solutions to onsite DC33 members and staff. A Commercial Electrician License and good communication skills are necessary for this role.

Commercial Electrician Duties

· Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems

· Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components, and electrical and electronic systems

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics

· Perform general maintenance of electrical systems

· Calibrate, adjust, and repair electrical and electronic equipment

· Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, and voltage

· Implement safety procedures and adhere to industry regulations

· Perform quality control and monitor repairs

· Provide assistance and technical advice to other personnel

Commercial Electrician Skills

· Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems

· Reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams

· Installing conduit, lighting and other electrical systems

· Upgrading and replacing existing electrical systems

· Inspecting and testing electrical systems and components

· Performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems

· Repairing and replacing electrical wiring and components

· Ensuring all electrical work is in compliance with local codes and regulations

Commercial Electrician Requirements

· A Commercial Electrician License

· Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams

· Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems

· Proficiency in the use of specialized electrical tools and test equipment

· Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
