Job Title: Business Development Director
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Pay Range: $130,000 - $140,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Business Development Director will lead the business development efforts of the organization. The Director will collaborate with the Executive Team and other leadership to develop and implement strategy and ensure the achievement of strategic business development goals and successful implementation of related initiatives. The Director will support existing business as well as developing new business. The Director will also oversee fundraising activities and non-Governmental giving and support.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) in a relevant field, plus 10 years of progressive experience in nonprofit social services/healthcare
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Related experience developing strategies and business development plans.
Experience with creating programs and services in a managed care environment.

MAJOR TASK, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Leadership, Staff Management and Organizational Strategy
Leads, while partnering with Executive Team Members, the review and exploration of business strategy, resulting in a business strategy informed by current market trends and indicators.
Works closely with program leadership to monitor, advance and promote innovative efforts in programs and provides guidance on outcomes to ensure alignment with funder immediate and long-term requirements.
Leads the development and implementation of a Corporate Business Development Plan, including business development strategies and other collaborations, incorporating a short-term and long-term perspective.
Monitors market and industry data, trends and developments and shares insight with Executive Team to propose business strategy and business development opportunities and inform business development decisions.
Partners with leadership in exploring desirable opportunities of contracting, partnership, affiliations, and collaborative activity with other organizations including, but not limited to government entities, managed care organizations, universities, and other social service organizations.
Promotes and ensures the presence of staff on key committees, policy making bodies, advocacy groups, and ad-hoc groups within which the staff can make substantive contributions to enhance quality service delivery and enhance visibility and appeal with contracting agencies.
Promotes and supports visibility and branding, including coordinating conference opportunities for staff as attendees and presenters; while ensuring that newly learned information is shared and partners with Marketing Department around promotional materials and press releases.
Promotes the advocacy of individuals we serve through management of memberships to advocacy agencies and other industry specific organizations allowing access to current developments, data, and advocacy resources.
Manages budget for Business Development and identifies critical resources needed to achieve Corporate Business Development goals.
Business Development Support and Oversight
Establishes and maintains relationships with Government entities and Managed Care Organizations (MCO) in collaboration with other Executive Team members and business leaders.
Manages government and MCO contracts including overseeing provider and site credentialing required by Medicaid, MCO, or other entities.
Research and monitors payor request for proposals, service requests, and funding opportunities and leads the process for proposal selection and writing.
Monitors and provides reporting on budgeted and projected revenue growth and other strategic business development initiatives.
Leads the creation of marketing materials and social media content to ensure materials and content are positively reflecting the corporation, programs, individuals we serve, our staff, our quality services, and mission.
Leads fundraising efforts including fundraising events.
Admissions/Intake Unit Support and Oversight
Oversee the Admissions and Intake Unit, maximizing census through effective process and collaboration.
Establishes and maintains relationships with referral sources through effective outreach and engagement.
Creates an environment where staff adhere to the corporation’s values, supporting values-based client/patient engagement.
