University of Pennsylvania Associate Professor, CE or Tenure Track Research Scientist, Pediatric Rehabilitation (CHOP) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Rehabilitation engineering and technical innovation. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities (including journal club) within the division.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing collaborative and/or independent research programs related to pediatric rehabilitation, co-supervision of trainees and research staff, coordinating research and grant efforts with local, national and international collaborators, and participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.
Clinician Educators typically engage in collaborative research but may also be involved in independent research. Tenure-track faculty primarily focus on independent research and may also engage in innovative collaborative research.
