Summary:
The HUP Clinical Resource Management Team is looking for an admin coordinator to join the team! The schedule will be Monday-Friday day shift (typically 8:30am-5pm).
- Working under supervision of the case management and utilization review leadership the administrative coordinator is responsible for a broad range of responsibilities.This role aids in supporting the goals of discharge planning and utilization review as well as the daily operations of the department. The incumbent in this role will work with nurse case managers, utilization review nurses, and will have limited patient interactions in the acute care setting
Responsibilities:
Performs complex and timely administrative functions for the case management and utilization review teams
Meet with inpatients in the acute care setting and provide to them the Important Message from Medicare
Monitor reports to identify daily work flows
Retrieve payer determinations and distinguish approvals Verus downgrades
Perform data entry into patient records
Communicate effectively with discharge planning and utilization review nurses
Perform daily departmental operations such as communication coverage with staff etc.
Proficient in navigating EMR’s specifically EPIC
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
