Confidential Employer Administrative Supervisor - IBHS Program in Phila, Pennsylvania

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the overall administrative, programmatic and fiscal operations of the program through appropriate delegation of duties. The  Supervisor shall serve as the liaison with other programs and the community for referrals, intakes, transfers, discharges and public relations. The Supervisor will manage the fiscal operations of the program including budget preparation, planning and management. The Supervisor is responsible for supervision of all administrative staff and the coordination of their functions within the program. The  Supervisor shall plan, develop and implement new projects and program expansions. The  Supervisor shall coordinate the plans for various regulatory and government inspections.

ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures existence and promulgation of unit mission statement in keeping with the agency mission statement,

  2. Ability to manage a high volume of staff which includes Clinical Managers and Case Managers, etc.

  3. Ability to effectively manage a high volume of cases (approximately 360).

  4. Evaluates effectiveness of service delivery and develops proposals.

  5. Makes recommendations for staff development programs

  6. Provides written performance evaluations of unit staff in accordance with agency policies and procedures

  7. Maintains and updates unit policy and procedure manual.

  8. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation of the department.

  9. Holds meetings on a regular basis to effectively manage and direct activities

  10. Encourages the integration of services within the community through effective communication and public relations

  11. Maintains and where necessary, establishes referral sources and screen incoming referrals, as well as reviewing all discharges

  12. Provides leadership and direction of all professional and technical staff in regard to the overall operations and implementation of the program

  13. The overall daily management of the agency.

  14. Ensuring that staff schedules meet the needs of the children, youth and young adults served and accommodate their parents', legal guardians' or caregivers' schedules.

  15. Ensuring compliance with staff qualifications and training requirements.

  16. Monitoring the IBHS agency's compliance with this chapter, PA Chapter 5240

  17. Developing and monitoring the quality improvement plan for the IBHS agency.

  18. Supervising staff who do not provide IBHS.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, human services, public administration, business administration or related field.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience with direct correlation with the scope of this position, preferably in a non-profit healthcare organization.
