JOB REQUIREMENTS: Asphalt Superintendent Job Locations US-WI-Pewaukee Job ID 2026-2332 # of Openings 1 Category Operations Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Technical Precision & Grade Control * Surveying & Staking: Directly oversee or perform construction staking and verify control points. You must be able to translate blueprints into physical reality with 100% accuracy. * Grade Setting: Establish and maintain grades for mass excavation, embankments, and fine grading. Ensure all field operations adhere to the specified slope requirements and drainage profiles. * This position requires presence on active construction sites and this is a \"hands on\" position requiring a significant degree of independent direction and \"whatever it takes\" mentality. Operational Leadership * Directing Field Foremen: Provide daily clear objectives to foremen, ensuring crews are optimized and safety protocols are non-negotiable. * Dispatch & Scheduling: Assist the Project Manager and Dispatcher in the strategic movement of heavy equipment and materials to eliminate downtime. * Production Tracking: Monitor daily material quantities against the project budget to ensure the job stays \"in the black.\" * Mentor and find training opportunities for field staff on labor, trucking and equipment operations. Site Coordination * Coordinate with subcontractors, utility companies, and third-party inspectors. * Conduct daily \"Tailgate\" safety meetings and maintain detailed daily logs of site activities, weather conditions, and delays. * Operate and perform physical work as necessary to maintain project requirements.
