Insight Global Mechanical Engineer II (Tooling & Design) in Petaluma, California
Job Description
An employer sitting in Petaluma, CA is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer II that will be working onsite at their manufacturing site full time. This role will be dedicated to the product development of their Group 3 UAV aircraft. He/she will be responsible for supporting the process improvements, fixtures, and other tasks related to scaling and optimizing operations. He/She will be designing composite molds (forms), templates and fixtures while managing and building qualifications. This ME II will be handling configuration management, tooling and design efficiency, while applying an in-depth knowledge of making molds and composite parts. This will be a 6 month contract with potential to extend depending on project workload. This role will be paying between ($45-65/hour) depending on years of experience.

Skills and Requirements
Applied Mechanical Engineering Design experience including tooling & composites
Experience in related field of UAV, missiles, aerospace, automotive, field of (Manufacturing/Production activities).
Experienced in configuration management
Experience supporting the manufacturing line, scaling production, within tooling and design
Experience using SolidWorks
