Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist for the Storage Portfolio, you will apply your sales and product expertise to close business for IBM, often in conjunction with Business Partners. You will match IBM solutions to client requirements and sell IBM offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop and Maintain Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in a designated set of IBM Storage offerings to effectively match solutions to client requirements.

• Sell IBM Offerings: Sell IBM Storage offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, applying sales and product expertise to close business for IBM.

• Understand Competition: Understand competition and develop appropriate winning sales strategies to drive business growth.

• Collaborate with Business Partners: Collaborate with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to drive success.

• Match Solutions to Client Needs: Work with clients to understand their requirements and match IBM Storage solutions to meet their needs, driving client satisfaction and loyalty.

Required technical and professional expertise

Product Expertise: Experience with IBM Storage offerings, including in-depth knowledge of features, benefits, and applications to effectively match solutions to client requirements. • Sales Acumen: Experience with sales strategies and techniques to sell IBM offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, driving business growth and revenue. • Competitive Analysis: Experience with analyzing competition and developing winning sales strategies to stay ahead in the market. • Partnership Development: Experience working with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to drive success. • Solution Selling: Experience with matching IBM solutions to client needs, driving client satisfaction and loyalty through effective solution selling techniques.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Exposure to Industry Trends: Familiarity with industry trends and developments in the storage technology sector, enabling informed sales strategies and effective client engagement. • Knowledge of Client Industries: Understanding of various client industries and their unique storage needs, facilitating tailored solutions and enhanced client satisfaction. • Familiarity with Emerging Technologies: Awareness of emerging technologies and innovations in the storage space, allowing for identification of potential sales opportunities and staying ahead of the competition.
