About Our Role
Are you passionate about building relationships, closing deals, and delivering results in a field‑based sales role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative to join our Commercial Sales team, supporting Independent Grocery accounts across a well‑established WA territory.
Reporting to the State Field Manager, you will be responsible for maximising sales of Simplot’s branded portfolio across a defined territory primarily covering Perth’s northern suburbs, including areas such as Joondalup, Kingsley, Butler and Ellenbrook, along with surrounding suburbs. You’ll work closely with independent retailers to drive range compliance, execute promotions, and identify growth opportunities within your customer base.
This is a permanent full‑time, 100% field‑based role, with occasional overnight regional travel (e.g. Kalgoorlie, Esperance), offering variety and broader exposure across the WA market.
What You Will Do
Execute sales and field plans to achieve distribution and sales targets across your territory
Implement planograms and optimise shelf space for Simplot products
Build and maintain strong relationships with store teams and internal stakeholders
Drive promotional activity - pre-sell, set up, and monitor compliance for new lines and seasonal campaigns
Monitor competitor activity and provide timely insights to the business
Use Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools effectively for reporting and data management
Attend cycle meetings and training sessions to stay ahead of market trends and initiatives
About You
Proven experience in field sales, ideally within the supermarket or FMCG sector
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across planning, reporting, and execution
Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and proactive, consistently seeking ways to improve performance
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
Ambitious and driven, with a clear focus on achieving results in a fast-paced environment
Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate challenges and maintain a positive outlook
Confident in presenting ideas and influencing stakeholders
Collaborative team player, while also capable of working independently
