Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivatedLead Electrical Engineerto join our PDG team on a nine month fixed term basis.PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
In this role, you will take ownership of delivering the electrical engineering scope and play a key part in shaping successful project outcomes. You’ll lead and inspire a highly engaged team, contributing discipline-specific expertise across feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and multi‑discipline project environments. Your work will support the development of engineering deliverables, capital estimates, and project schedules, while also providing valuable technical guidance during construction and commissioning. You’ll mentor emerging engineers, promote continuous learning within the team, and follow robust QA/QC processes to ensure the delivery of high‑quality engineering services.
You will bring to the role:
A degree in engineering with demonstrated experience commensurate with CPEng status
Have current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to electrical engineering, ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
Lead the delivery and preparation of project specifications, design reports and other technical documentation as required
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
