Job Description:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for participating in the receiving, organising, storing, picking of orders within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Store. pick and pack product following appropriate procedures and regulations;
Prepare receipt of appropriate documentation, including liaison with suppliers;
Allocate and retrieve goods from specific warehouse areas;
Participate in periodic stock checks;
Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
Participate in stock takes and other inventory initiatives
Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with appropriate equipment provided
Maintain accurate inventory records of products received and dispatched
Maintain cleanliness of the site and ensure that goods don’t get damaged
Skills and Experience:
1 years' experience in a similar role
Understands and is responsible for quality control standard
Sound working knowledge of all warehousing/store's duties
Ability to exercise discretion within scope of this position
Able to understand detailed instructions and work from procedures.
Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.
Responsible for quality of their own work.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
License and proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Intermediate level of word and excel
Advance level of numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
Physical Abilities :
Individual lifting up to 20kg, with typical weights between 2kg and 10kg
Constant standing and walking and may squat to lift items.
Use of pallet jack requires push/pull physical demand.
May be required to work in cold environment of -4 degrees Celsius for short periods.
