FM Consultant Engineer - Boiler & Machinery in Perth, Australia

We currently have an opening for a Boiler & Machinery Consultant Engineer based in our Perth office . This is a permanent, full-time position
Responsibilities:
Interact with high hazard FM clients within the Mining, Power Generation, Chemical, Pulp & Paper industries.
Use expertise to consult with clients to protect their facilities against mechanical and electrical breakdowns, fire, and many other hazards.
Develop strong client relationships to advise on risks associated with client businesses.
Develop and implement risk improvement strategies.
The role will require regular travel to client facilities.
The role involves international travel to the U.S in the first 12-18 months, as part of the Consultant Engineer training, and frequent domestic travel (approx. 60-80 nights away each year after the training period).

Qualifications
Full Australian working rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, NZ resident).
Valid Passport, and the ability to travel without restrictions to the United States within a few months of hiring. A significant element of training occurs outside Australia in the US.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
5-10+ years of experience with power generation assets in a utility company or as part of mining, chemical or oil & gas industry operations.
Must possess knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems such as gas/steam turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), boilers, generators, and knowledge of safety devices.
Written and spoken ability to assess/explain complex risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and attention to detail.
Strong self-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously across multiple client engagements.
Physical ability to walk up and down the stairs, lift >12 kilos, balance, and safely working at heights
Nice to have:
Knowledge of industrial control systems would be an advantage
