Big Top Services, Inc Installation Field Technician in Perry, Florida
We are currently hiring Field Technicians. Field technicians travel to structure installation sites across the United States. They are responsible for working with a team to complete various types of fabric structure projects. This work includes installations, relocations and warranty repairs. Field Technicians report to the Team Lead.
This position involves significant travel. All work is directed and coordinated by our office in Perry, FL. While new hires will need to undergo initial training in Perry, FL, regular visits to the office are minimal, as the role is field-based.
Pay:
$20/hr+ Depending on Experience

- Take instruction to complete structure projects.
- Implement instruction to complete structure projects safely, on-time and within budget.
- Operate heavy equipment (On-the-Job Training Provided).
- Manage care and use of tools and equipment during a job.
- Professional conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to operate forklift and other heavy equipment and obtain certification within three months of hire (On-the-Job Training Provided).
- Basic understanding of hand tools and how to properly use them.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16".
- Proficient in math, both decimal and inch calculations.
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
- Ability to follow company safety procedures and processes.
- Ability to obtain OSHA Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers and management.
- Must be comfortable with heights including operating in lift buckets and climbing ladders.
- Heavy lifting (50lbs) is required on a regular basis.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
- Prolonged periods of strenuous physical activity, using tools and machinery, and performing repetitive actions.
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, modify and operate machinery and equipment.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts and workmanship.
- Temperature of work environment ranges from 15 - 110F, primarily outdoor exposure.
- Must be able to travel to job locations via motor vehicle across the US.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
- Construction experience preferred.
