Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

The workers will perform a range of manual agricultural tasks associated with the cultivation of wheat, corn, soybeans, and sugar beets on approximately 3,500 acres in the Red River Valley region. Job duties include soil preparation, planting, weeding, thinning, irrigating, fertilizing, and general crop maintenance. Workers will operate irrigation equipment and assist with pest and disease control using non-restricted methods.
As the growing season progresses, duties will include harvesting crops through a combination of manual labor and the use of basic farm tools or field-appropriate machinery. Workers will assist with loading, handling, and transporting harvested crops for storage or delivery to market.
Additional responsibilities include general farm upkeep such as cleaning and maintaining equipment, servicing irrigation systems, and performing routine field and property maintenance. All work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, and wind. Workers must follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions to ensure crop quality and worker safety.
Work duties will vary based on crop cycles, weather, and field conditions and may require periods of intensive labor during peak seasonal demands. All tasks are essential to the continued operation and success of the farm during the production season.
Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
Worker must be available and willing to work the entire season.
Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Worker must have a valid Class D Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within sixty (60) days of hire.
Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

Additional Compensation
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
