Bongards' Creameries Controls Technician Internship in Perham, Minnesota

Description Bongards' Creameries Perham is sponsoring an internship for a Controls Technician. The candidate chosen will assist the primary Controls Technician at the Perham Plant in maintaining current controls systems, troubleshooting day to day issues that arise, and improving software, hardware, and processes pertaining to the plant controls systems. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3 PM. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide range of Industrial Automation and gain valuable experience in troubleshooting, installation, and general maintenance. Job Summary: Maintains, troubleshoots, and improves the plant controls systems. Duties: Work with all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. Installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Working with Allen Bradley and Rockwell systems. Troubleshoot and modify PLC/PAC programs and hardware. Assist in maintaining all plant associated networks, servers, and software. Assist in new controls projects and upgrades. Repair, replace, troubleshoot, and recommend different plant instrumentation when necessary. Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes, proactively. Modify and create electrical drawings with AutoCAD. Education/Experience: At least one year of college or technical school training in Industrial Automation or Mechatronics. Computer Skills: Preferred experience with Allen Bradley and Rockwell software. Pay: The internship will pay $24.00 per hour. Schedule: Normal schedule will be Monday through Friday day shift.
