Job Summary:
The Strategy Manager for Digital Fleet & Operations Solutions plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the enterprise full fleet strategy in close partnership with the Senior Director of Digital Fleet & Operations Solutions. This leader drives long-range strategic planning, operational discipline, and executive alignment across a complex portfolio of digital products, operational capabilities, and transformation initiatives. The role requires exceptional strategic acumen, cross functional influence, and the ability to translate vision into clear, actionable outcomes.
What You Will Do :
Strategic Leadership & Planning
Partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to define, refine, and operationalize the multiyear full fleet strategy and annual operating plans.
Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, digital capabilities, and market trends influencing fleet, logistics, and operations.
Serve as an expert on the external fleet ecosystem—including solutions, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry innovation.
Execution & Operational Excellence
Drive execution of top enterprise strategic initiatives, ensuring risks, dependencies, and milestones are actively identified, managed, and communicated.
Establish and maintain business operating rhythms (QBRs, MBRs, leadership reviews, roadmap reviews) that enable accountability and cross organizational alignment.
Identify performance gaps and lead corrective actions that accelerate progress, reduce friction, and strengthen execution discipline.
Executive Communications & Stakeholder Influence
Prepare and deliver executive ready materials, including business updates, strategic narratives, board level content, and leadership communications.
Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for the Senior Director, providing high judgment support on strategic projects, executive requests, and cross functional engagements.
Lead strategic workshops, leadership meetings, and offsites that drive clarity, alignment, and tangible outcomes.
Special Initiatives & Cross Functional Leadership
Lead high priority, fast moving initiatives requiring strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to influence without authority.
Manage key business and administrative functions in support of the Senior Director, ensuring the organization operates with rigor, transparency, and strategic clarity.
Reinforce a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence across the Digital Fleet & Operations Solutions organization.
What You Will Have:

Considerations for Top Candidates:
Extensive experience in strategy, operations, product management, consulting type roles (typically 7–10+ years).
Experience in fleet management, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or field operations.
Strong understanding of digital product development, platforms, and operational systems.
Proven success operating in complex, matrixed organizations.
Advanced analytical, problem solving, and structured thinking capabilities.
Executive level communication, storytelling, and influence skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and results without formal authority.Preferred
MBA or advanced degree.
Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or digital transformation leadership.
Additional Information:
This position will have the option to be based out of our Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL or Irving, TX offices.

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
