Law Firm - Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Administrative - Pensacola, FL - Temporary to Full Time

We are hiring an Office Manager / Bookkeeper for a Family law office in Pensacola, FL. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to manage and efficiently run operations within the firm. The local law firm specializes in Family law, Personal injury, criminal defense and insurance matters.

Previous experience working in a law office in not required, but would be a plus. The office manager would be the contact person for the Firm's Malpractice Insurance annual renewal, among many other responsibilities. Most skills related to the law firm can be trained, but this position requires aSTRONGunderstanding ofthe Bookkeeping processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Maintain Accounting and financial records to assist the CPA with tax returns
  • Financial record-keeping: Performing all general bookkeeping functions, data entry, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Payroll: Managing the firm's payroll and processing through ADP software and QuickBooks.

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office products, and have a general knowledge of bookkeeping andaccounting principles.
  • Preferred to have legal specific knowledgeto have a strong understanding, but not required.
  • Effective time management, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills areessentialto this position.
  • Must understand and follow ALL confidentiality requirements.

SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

PAY:

Starting pay rate will be based on your level of experience

REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
