Air Compressor Service Technician - Industrial Compressed Air Systems and Blowers
We are a major manufacturer distributor located in Pensacola, FL that has served the Gulf Coast of the US for 35 years looking to hire a service technician.
Senior Air Compressor Service Technician requirement:
- 3-5+ years Air Compressor experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Industrial electrical repair skills and be able to read wiring diagrams
- Pipe welding experience required 2-3 years
- Must be able to complete tasks in a timely, self-directed manner including job service orders
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Maintain positive customer relations while resolving concerns and answering questions
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times
- Some travel and overnight stays as needed
- Supply all basic hand and cordless tools
- VOM/Amp Meter required
Job will include:
- Perform service / repair of multi-brand air compressors and compressed air systems at customer sites and distributor facilities
- Troubleshoot / repair air compressors, air dryers, auto drains, vacuum pumps, various style pumps and blowers
- Accurately communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
- Completely fill out work orders, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return slips
- Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed
- Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager
Education / Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanical repair experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
- Eligible to work in US without Visa Sponsorship
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Screenings including Background, Drug Screen, Random Drug Screens
- EPA 608 certification a plus
Physical Demands
- Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to work conditions in extreme temperatures and loud environments.
- Occasionally required to work in elevated areas and must be able to work on a ladder or scissor lift over 20 feet
