DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for operating trucks, loaders, and other necessary equipment as required. You will assist Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanics with repairs and maintain accurate equipment records. Your duties will also require you to operate various manual and foot controls, utilize seat belts, and manage tire chains on dual wheels. A critical aspect of your role will be to foster a safe work environment for yourself, your colleagues, and the public by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate protective gear. You will need to remain vigilant about your surroundings to help mitigate risks and hazards, promptly report any personal injuries or equipment accidents—including near-misses—and seek appropriate treatment to prevent further injury.
