ManpowerGroup Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Product & Production Quality) in Pennsylvania

Our client, a global leader in the heavy‑duty truck manufacturing industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their Engineering team at their Shippensburg, PA manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on quality engineer who enjoys working close to production, having direct impact on product quality, process performance, and manufacturing outcomes. You will collaborate daily with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, supporting quality activities from early project phases through full production.

What’s the Job?

  • Plan, lead, and support manufacturing product and production quality activities across the full project and production lifecycle within a heavy‑duty truck manufacturing environment.

  • Develop, improve, and implement core manufacturing quality tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC , ensuring consistent and effective application across engineering and production teams.

  • Design, analyze, and support inspection and testing processes, including gauges, fixtures, and measurement systems, to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with engineering specifications.

  • Perform statistical quality analysis to evaluate process capability, monitor variation, and proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing quality risks.

  • Lead root cause analysis efforts for product and process non‑conformances, ensuring corrective actions, deviations, and documentation meet quality, compliance, and production standards.

What You Bring

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment (automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial manufacturing strongly preferred).

  • Strong, hands‑on experience with manufacturing quality processes, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) .

  • Proven experience driving root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured methodologies such as 8D, RCCA, or CAPA .

  • Proficiency with quality and statistical tools, including Minitab and Excel , to analyze manufacturing and process data.

  • Basic working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Catia, or Creo for reviewing engineering drawings and inspection requirements.

This role is focused on manufacturing and production quality. Experience limited to software QA or IT testing is not applicable.
