THE POSITION
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team at Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG) as a Custodial Worker. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be responsible for a wide-range of cleaning, organizational, and general maintenance related projects throughout the facilities at Fort Indiantown Gap. Specific duties may entail cleaning offices, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, inclusive of cleaning sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and all other related fixtures. Projects will be completed by mopping, buffing, waxing, vacuuming, and dusting. You will also properly dispose of trash and ensure that supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in the restrooms are replaced as necessary. In addition, you will c lean and disinfect surfaces and collect and dispose of infectious waste in accordance with safe material handling guidelines. Shoveling snow and removing debris from walkways is another primary function of this position in order to ensure for the safety of others.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:
A conditional offer is contingent on passing a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
