THE POSITION

Are you ready to take your maintenance career up a notch? The Washington County Housing Authority is searching for an Assistance Maintenance Superintendent to help oversee daily maintenance operations, coordinate skilled crews, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Assistant Maintenance Superintendent, you will be tasked with administrative and technical work including assisting with directing a complex program of building maintenance, groundskeeping maintenance, as well as heating and utility operations. Work involves approving supply requests, delivering supplies, attending meetings, and supervising quality control inspections. You will also have the opportunity to proactively address and work toward resolving resident complaints, ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include assisting with:

  • Directing daily operation of all maintenance personnel

  • Yearly maintenance budget and physical needs

  • Reviewing and approving work orders

  • Procurement of services

  • Emergency on-call duties

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in the maintenance and repair or construction of buildings or facilities. College or technical school study with major emphasis on mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or the engineering or construction technologies may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required non-supervisory experience.
