Description Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. was established in 1965 with a mission to combat poverty and improve the quality of life for low-income individuals and families in Steuben and Yates counties. Pro Action of Steuben and Yates is accepting applications for a Housekeeping Aide for Yates Office of the Aging. The Housekeeping Aide will provide non-medical, in-home support services to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for customers aged 60 and over in the Pro Action Yates Office for the Aging Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP).Functions of the position include but are not limited to, performing light house cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, and shopping.The Housekeeping Aide must be able to demonstrate the organizational values and supporting behaviors, have good knowledge of housekeeping skills, excellent communication and organization skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Experience with older adult population is preferred. RequirementsEducation requirement High school diploma or equivalent.The ideal candidate must have a drivers license that meets agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
