Looking for an opportunity to step into a leadership role and help build a thriving local multiplatform newsroom from the ground up? CBC News is hiring two multiplatform producers to work in our new station in Peel region.

Reporting to the executive producer, the producers will oversee the station’s newsgathering resources, deciding what stories to cover, when, how and by whom. The producers will also be responsible for chasing and coordinating breaking news, programming our digital and streaming services, vetting content across platforms, and coordinating with other CBC News locations.

The successful candidates will be strategic thinkers who put audience needs at the centre of their decision-making, ensuring our news content across all platforms connects our audiences to the news they need to know, the stories that affect their lives and the issues that resonate in their communities.

You care about the people you work with and have a recognized ability to coach and motivate others.
