Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Texas

Journeyman Electrician

to perform electrical installation and commissioning of solar PV and distributed power systems supporting modular industrial infrastructure. This role involves quality installation of DC and AC systems in a remote desert environment while adhering to NEC and applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical Execution:

    • Perform wire pulling, terminations, MC4 connections, grounding, and bonding in accordance with NEC and project specifications
    • Install and connect solar PV arrays, inverters, combiner boxes, and power distribution equipment
    • Assist with system commissioning under Master Electrician supervision
  • Safety and Coordination:

    • Work may involve DC solar PV systems and energized environments; all work must comply with established lockout/tagout and arc-flash safety procedures
    • Participate in regular safety briefings
    • Ensure non-licensed personnel do not perform regulated electrical work.
    • Follow PPE and job-site safety requirements
  • Master and Equipment Handling:

    • Inspect incoming electrical materials
    • Coordinate staging of components
    • Assist with movement of materials on site; operation of any heavy equipment if properly authorized and trained

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with solar PV or industrial power systems preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and one-line diagrams
  • Ability to use mobile devices or similar technology for reporting and documentation
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperature environments
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience operating telehandlers or similar material handling equipment is a plus but not required

Employment Details

  • Pay Rate: $38-52 per hour, based on experience (W-2 Non-Exempt)
  • Schedule: 30-40+ hours per week; early starts typical (e.g, 6 AM)
  • Per Diem: Eligibility subject to company policy

Requirements

Employment is contingent upon:

Verification of an active Texas Journeyman License in good standing

Successful completion of a background check

Successful completion of drug screening
