U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief PRODUCTION PROGRAM SPEC in Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii

Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the Production Resources Process Division, Production Resources Departement of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will extract production data and provide recommendations and solutions to the senior production program specialist for assigned programs. You will coordinate work with various support codes and trade shops, who are responsible for execution of production task. You will provide input on policies, procedures and processes for assigned program to improve production program output. You will provide input on the development and review of production training and recommends changes that will improve the processes and provide better support. You will follow-up on program requirements to ensure timelines are met and report to senior specialist or supervisor on possible delays. You will assist in the analysis of delays and impacts and formulate recommendations and mitigations. You will gather information, identify program failures, analyze issues and develop recommendations to resolve substantive problems dealing with the effectiveness and efficiency of major production programs. You will assess the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of production program support and analyze long-range needs, unusual problems, or unusual questions, and provide feedback and possible courses of action. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning production projects; conducting studies and analyzing production operations data (e.g., schedule, safety, quality, logistics, resources) to identify trends or deficiencies, and develop performance improvement methods and techniques for the timely and efficient completion of submarine maintenance and repair projects. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
