Farmworkers, Farm, Ranch and Aquacultural Animals - Certification/License requirements, Driver requirements, Drug screen, Lifting requirement of 50 lbs., Exposure to extreme temperatures, Extensive pushing or pulling, Extensive sitting or walking, Frequent stooping or bending over, Repetitive movements. We rotationally graze 400-500 head of stocker steers and a small herd of goats every year on 1800 acres of owned and leased pasture. Fence maintenance and construction is ongoing as well as brush control through mechanical and chemical application. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, maintain grounds and landscaping, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, skid steers, sprayers, tractors. Must speak and understand English. Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
