Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Patuxent River, Maryland
Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Aviation Resources & Readiness Analysis Department of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will be responsible for logistics processes to develop, plan and integrate support consideration into designs/establish and maintain integrated logistics support capable of supporting fleet operations throughout the full life cycle. You will be responsible for assessing modifications to improve safety reliability, maintainability and/or readiness of production and in-service Weapon Systems, and for special modifications. You will be responsible for timely networking of configuration legacy system integration takes place and is responsible for approving changes/enhancement to the legacy systems. You will develop, justify, and ensure resource requirements are correctly reflected in configuration legacy systems by aircraft/engine/component Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possesses a broad comprehensive and expert knowledge of navy aviation depot maintenance and contractor policies and programs with particular emphasis on engineering change proposals by organic and commercial depot level maintenance groups; 2) Knowledge must be supplemented by an expert understanding of navy maintenance concepts and logistics processes involved in the support of Navy weapons systems; 3) Expert knowledge of resource management concepts, principles and processes to oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of the configuration management information system and procedures for analyzing, rationalizing, integrating and prioritizing complex logistics and aviation maintenance resource requirements; 4) Must have and maintain expert knowledge of configuration management, manufacturing, assembly, depot maintenance equipment and the multiplicity of processes associated with modern production and rework, both at commercial and organic facilities.
