Hyatt Assistant Director of Engineering in PATTAYA, Thailand
Description:
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible to assist the Director of Engineering in ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3–5 years of progressive engineering/facilities experience in hotels or commercial buildings preferred.
Supervisory or leadership experience required.
Skills:
Proficiency in computer systems and software, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, scheduling, and communication.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and operating HVAC, electrical, life‑safety, and other facility systems.
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including HOTSOS or similar service‑order and work‑order technology.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain operational accuracy under pressure.
Ability to interpret complex technical information, drawings, and equipment data to support diagnostic and problem‑solving work in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life‑safety system.
Demonstrates sufficient proficiency in English communication across reading, writing, and speaking.
