Patchogue-Medford School District Secondary TESOL ELA Teacher in Patchogue, New York
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide ENL instruction to English Language Learners (ELLs) in push-in and/or pull-out settings
Deliver standards-based ELA lessons aligned with New York State learning standards to support literacy development
Differentiate instruction based on students’ language proficiency and individual learning needs
Support language acquisition and literacy development, including vocabulary, pronunciation, and academic writing
Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments, including preparation for NYS assessments
Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and support staff to support multilingual learners
Maintain accurate student records and documentation
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and learning goals
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Job Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess New York State TESOL and English Language Arts (ELA)
Must possess both certifications to be eligible.
