Position Summary
Catholic Health is seeking a motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a Structural Interventional Cardiologist, in a predominantly inpatient-focused role. This position offers a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with a high-volume structural and interventional cardiologist, gaining exposure to complex cardiovascular care, while supporting both inpatient consults and remote outpatient patient management. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking to develop expertise in advanced cardiology care and receive mentorship in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. The successful candidate will contribute meaningfully to patient care while developing specialized expertise in cardiology. Additionally, the successful candidate will work 1:1 with a structural interventional cardiologist, gaining exposure to complex cardiovascular care, receive mentorship and professional growth in high-acuity inpatient cardiology, work in a supportive, collaborative hospital environment, and enjoy a healthy work-life balance with no calls and no weekend coverage.

Dr. Medranda has extensive experience treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, hypertension, obesity, heart failure, and arrhythmias, and is known for providing comprehensive, evidence-based cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide inpatient cardiology care under the supervision of the collaborating physician, including consults, post-procedure follow-ups, and management of hospitalized patients
Support the longitudinal management of outpatient patients, including phone calls, medication renewals, test result review, and care coordination
Review and manage diagnostic studies, labs, and imaging as appropriate
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, hospital services, and referring providers to ensure high-quality patient care
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Participate in quality initiatives and uphold evidence-based cardiology practices
Note: This APP role does not involve performing procedures or assisting in cases. Mostly inpatient focused.
Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
National board certification required
BLS required; ACLS and DEA required – AHA only
Open to new graduates or experienced APPs with strong interest in cardiology
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care
Salary Range
USD $69.55 - USD $75.00 /Hr.
