ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Assurance Technician supports the management of construction quality assurance and quality control activities for the Shafts and Concentrator projects.
\ Responsibilities include support of management of multiple contractors and subcontractors including health, safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, community relations and meeting targets within budget and on time. This role requires heavy field interaction and interface with integrated construction teams. This role is based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.
Other key responsibilities include, but arent limited to:
- Ensure that work is always executed in a safe manner
- Assist in completion of S32 corporate safety and business goals
- Assure that project construction activities and services are executed in conformity with S32s environmental policies and plans
- Assure that project construction activities and services are executed in conformity with S32s community relations policies and plans
- Assure strict compliance with S32 Change Management processes
- Extract data from sources such as plans, engineering reports, and specifications to inspect and report on the work of construction contractors and vendor supplied materials
- Assure Code and Procedural compliance for construction activities related to the Shafts and other construction projects on site as requested
- Inspect and verify Contractors and Vendors work and materials for defects
- Compose and maintain accurate reports and documentation of field activities
- Identify contractor quality issues and work with Quality Manager to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance within scope of applicable regulatory requirements including Federal, State, and Local
- Ensure conformity with industry codes of practice and standards
- Ensure that all work conforms with the specified quality standards
- Perform other Quality Assurance duties as assigned by the Quality Manager
