What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the local Technology Systems team:
Reviewing their resourcing and ensuring utilisation is kept at the required level.
Involved in interviews and hiring decisions.
Involved in Employee surveys and feedback.
Reviewing, discussing and keeping Thrive up to date for each team member.
Keeping track of team member welfare
Responsible for delivery; taking ownership of projects as well as tasks.
Learn and assist with consulting reporting and engagement such as:
Stakeholder engagement and workshops
Undertaking Technology Assessments
Technology Master planning
Technology Feasibility Reports and Strategy Reports to support client business cases
- Learn and assist with Engineering detailed design and documentation such as:
Client Return Briefs
Reports
Technical Advice
Specifications
Schematics
Drawings
Detailed sections and installation drawings
Opinion of Costs
- Assist with specialized design and coordination activities including, but not limited to:
Wi-Fi / RF modelling
CCTV camera modelling
EASE loudspeaker modelling
REVIT / BIM 360 modelling and coordination
Cable tray and cable containment calculations
Power / Heat / Load calculations
Coordination mark-ups
Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other team members.
Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.
Learn and assist with undertaking contract administration duties on projects as assigned including but not limited to; site inspections, review of shop drawings, assessment of financial claims and variations, commissioning tests and defects inspections.
Using a combination of standard and modified Engineering methods/techniques in addition to those developed in previous assignments for the purposes of solving problems.
Assisting more Senior Engineers with the analysis of information, production of designs and computations.
Work with a Senior Engineers to understand the requirements of typical contracts (e.g. AS4122).
Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business.
Manila team is expected to work from the office full time except where approved for flexible working (typically for team leads). Future employees should take this into account and factor in travel distance to the office.
Working with the Technology Systems Team on developing working methods to ensure technically strong and efficient delivery of all projects.
Participating in planning to achieve prescribed objectives
Undertake the delivery of projects nationally and throughout the region with the support of the respective Senior Consultants.
Attend training as required for the different Technology Systems disciplines
Record activities contributing to continuing professional development
Represent the company to a professional standard at-all-times.
Participate in activities (discipline, multi-discipline, and others) to extend own knowledge.
Contribute as requested to development of engineering support tools for the business.
Communicate externally on behalf of the business, both written and verbally to the professional standard expected locally.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members and peers.
Comply with procedures set out in ‘The Way’ and the WSP quality system in all project related work.
Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.

Good at setting, managing and hitting goals and deadlines
at least 7 years relevant professional experience coupled with a Degree in Engineering
Associate Diploma, Diploma, Degree or work-based experience.
General understanding of one discipline in building services.
Experience or understanding of Bluebeam, Revit, Visio and AutoCAD (not essential but advantageous).
Training on modelling / engineers software (Ekahau, EASE, JVSG etc) is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided.
Excellent report writing and analytical skills (very strong in written English) – Proof of English proficiency required (eg. IELTS score of 8 or higher)
Competent in use of Windows based computing applications
