WSP USA Associate, Mechanical in Pasig City, Philippines
Leading the design, development, and production of mechanical systems. Oversee the design and drawing of mechanical systems within buildings, such as ventilation, air conditioning and fire protection.
Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with regional and national regulations
Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Contribute to the development of the office against defined strategic goals
Contribute to performance appraisal and mentoring of assigned staff
Assist in the development of 3 year strategic plans for the office; including market and people development
Assist in analyzing the financial and non-financial performance of the office
Be cognisant of PI and Insurance claims arising
High level, innovative and strategic contribution to concept and detail design of projects
Represent and develop the business with the lead countries
Be active in representing the company through target industry organizations
Participate in the performance appraisal of direct reports
Approve offers and execute contracts to the limit delegated by the Office Manager or his delegate
Approve expenditure and creditor payments to the limit delegated by the Office Manager or his delegate
Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies for those areas of the business which you are responsible
Participate in office and/or region management/executive meetings and annual office and/or region strategic retreats as requested.
Other duties as directed, to help company provide outstanding services to its customer.
Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent
May also have Master’s or PhD
Professional Chartership/registration within jurisdiction
Experience, skills and organizational knowledge
Typically, 10-12 years’ experience.
Extensive experience in applying local and international standards, particularly Australian Code.
Applies deep technical knowledge and expertise across a broad range of complex projects.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing complex technical information in a variety of formats. May approve and sign off on work. Mentors others towards an information security mindset regarding the production, storage and retrieval of information.
Demonstrates excellence and innovation in providing high quality level technical performance. Implements outcomes from Lessons Learnt and continuous improvement initiatives.
Competent in monitoring and managing the scope (including variations) of multiple projects of varying complexity and size. Able to guide the work of others successfully.
Plays a lead role in pricing. Coaches junior staff on best practices for consulting business operations. Tracks financial performance, and reports variances. Manages project in accordance with contract terms. Understand the differences between contract models and the impact on project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to understand how to get the best value from the design. Is able to engage with stakeholders to validate functional needs and priorities and presenting findings.
Competent in the application and knowledge of modelling software and/or analytical techniques used in complex projects today. Explores future possibilities.
Skilled and knowledgeable in the use of Digital Technologies including MS365 and AI tools to deliver projects in accordance with WSP Policy. Shares innovative use of new technologies to improve project efficiencies.
Keeps others up to date with relevant Digital Tools and Software. Highly developed skills in analysis and interpretation of output as applies to complex projects.
Demonstrated competence in Digital Engineering and BIM based inter-disciplinary coordination, constructability and/or project controls.
Experienced in performing site visits and mentoring staff on HSE issues. Experienced in conducting and contributing to reviews of HSE processes and driving change.
Strong skills in applying successfully safety in design practices and processes in large projects as appropriate to discipline.
Extensive experience in client relationships and responding to client feedback. Ability to understand client needs, communicate technical issues and guides clients through regulatory processes
Leads winning proposals and pursuits. Experienced in winning job from a job, with demonstrated examples.
Is focused in embedding a Future Ready & Sustainable mindset into the projects and creating case studies
