Salary: $84,623.27 (step 1/ year 1)- $95,244.24 (step 5/year 5)
SUMMARY: The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and safety of ESD 123 facilities, including oversight of front desk operations, building systems, and agency vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, functional, and efficient environments that support staff and public access, while leading preventative maintenance programs, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The Facilities Manager serves as a key point of contact for facilities related needs and incidents, providing responsive support, including outside of regular business hours as needed. The typical work week is Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm with adjustments as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage building security and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and performing minor repairs to ensure safe, functional, and well maintained facilities.
Perform general maintenance tasks including but not limited to replacing burnt-out light bulbs; refilling restroom supplies; tightening fixtures; performing minor plumbing and repair work; checking roof drains; maintaining irrigation systems; and supporting facility upkeep needs such as carpet cleaning and minor furniture maintenance.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of building systems, including HVAC, to ensure efficient and reliable performance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health and safety, including implementing, and overseeing safety protocols, emergency response plans, and evacuation procedures.
Lead and manage the ESD 123 safety committee, including conducting regular safety audits and coordinating staff training on emergency procedures and workplace safety practices.
Oversee front desk operations and supervise reception staff at the main Pasco office, ensuring consistent coverage, uninterrupted public access during business hours, and timely, customer focused responses to visitors and inquiries in support of efficient ESD operations.
Oversee ESD 123 vehicle safety and maintenance, ensuring timely routine and preventative maintenance, safe and compliant vehicle operations, and serving as the primary contact for vehicle related support and incident resolution.
Manage and maintain the inventory and surplus processes for facilities that contribute to the overall organization's cost-effectiveness, sustainability goals, and operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for agency facilities and operations, responding to facility-related incidents, emergencies, and inquiries, including those occurring outside of regular business hours as need
