Title: Information Technology - Data Sciences Intern
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Position Overview: The IT Intern supporting Data Sciences supports data-driven decision-making by assisting with data analysis, reporting, and documentation that transform raw data into actionable insights.
Role Focus: Data analysis, reporting, and analytics support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist with data collection, cleansing, and validation
*Support development of reports, dashboards, and visualizations
*Help document data definitions, sources, and analytics processes
*Assist with basic querying or scripting under supervision
*Support data governance and data quality initiatives
Skills Developed: Data analysis fundamentals, reporting tools, data visualization, data governance concepts.
Qualifications:
*High school diploma or GED required.
*Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities:
*Basic understanding of IT concepts, such as programming languages, database management, and cybersecurity
*Basic typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
*Strong problem-solving skills
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to interact professionally with company personnel
*Adaptable to new technologies and new situations
*Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage your workload effectively
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Strong desire to learn and improve your skills
*Must be at least 18 years of age
