Insight Global Payroll Administrator in Pasadena, California

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate employee payroll data and follow established payroll controls.

• Process payroll on time and in compliance with laws and internal policies.

• Audit, validate, and upload timekeeping data from Oracle Time & Labor or spreadsheets.

• Understand payroll data flow between HR systems, timekeeping tools, and the general ledger.

• Process manual check requests in accordance with regulations and internal procedures.

• Perform payroll calculations (retro pay, accrual adjustments, etc.).

• Collaborate with HR and business unit partners to support payroll needs.

• Update payroll information (direct deposits, garnishments, bonuses, deductions).

• Manage payroll calendars and processing schedules.

• Conduct pre and post payroll audits for accuracy.

• Apply company policies, union rules, and payroll laws when resolving issues.

• Respond to employee and HR payroll inquiries.

• Assist with tax withholding updates (federal, state, local).

• Create and maintain Excel-based payroll reports.

• Support general ledger review and reconciliation for payroll accounts.

• Participate in payroll data analysis and testing of system updates.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience.

• ADP systems

• Experience with computerized payroll systems.

• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and tax requirements.

• Ability to research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll issues.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and standard PC applications.

• Experience in payroll for mid-sized company 1K employees+ Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with systems such as PayForce, ADP Reporting, Pay@Work, and Oracle Time & Labor.

• Advanced Excel knowledge.

• Associate degree preferred but not required.
