Description We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a dynamic and collaborative team in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role presents an exciting opportunity to leverage your auditing expertise while working closely with executive leadership to analyze and verify revenue classifications. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review detailed journal entries and account reconciliations with an emphasis on revenue recognition.
• Analyze the financial implications of corporate accounting changes and connect transactional data to business outcomes.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, including the Revenue Controller, Director, and Finance Executive Director, to present financial findings and recommendations.
• Utilize advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor and assess financial data to identify trends and variances, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects to support strategic initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial reporting with organizational goals.
• Apply data mining techniques to extract actionable insights for business improvement. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience with Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firms is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to present financial insights to senior leadership in a clear and detail-oriented manner.
• Efficient and career-focused personality with a demonstrated ability to succeed in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively share findings and recommendations.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and financial reporting standards.
