United Parcel Service General Services Co. seeks Senior Software Quality Engineer in Parsippany, NJ:Job Duties: Conduct quality assessment (QA) development processes and develop and implement new testing practices and standards to ensure software quality. Contribute to project design by performing comprehensive testing and risk-based assessments of testing objects. Lead testing components of large and complex projects, assign tasks, provide direction to team members, and report progress to project stakeholders. Maintain awareness of emerging technologies to ensure a competitive advantage. Automate test scenarios and expected outcomes, develop and implement test solutions, and oversee automation testing and reporting processes. Manage software defects through a structured defect management process, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution to maintain optimal software performance and reliability. Part-time telecommuting is an option.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.Special Skill Requirements: (1) Web and client/server-based testing; (2) QA process development and implementation; (3) Automated testing using (Selenium, Cucumber, Maven, Git, Jenkins, and Docker); (4) API automation using Postman, SOAP UI, Ready API, Rest Assured; (5) Performance testing using JMeter; (6) Test management and defect tracking using JIRA and Azure DevOps; (7) Java; (8) Agile methodology (9) SDLC/STLC processes; (10) Defect management, tracking, and reporting. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
