United Parcel Service General Services Co. seeks Senior Applications Developer in Parsippany, NJ:Job Duties: Responsible for providing input and support for full development life cycle activities (e.g., analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) for business-critical Billing Adjustment applications. Involve in software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities in an agile setup. Provide input to user story estimation and task planning and breakdown during sprint planning. Complete tasks within planned durations and established deadlines and collaborate with other team members and support emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. Produce quality integration builds and perform effective maintenance and support of ongoing technical projects. Telecommuting is an option. Up to 60% travel to UPS offices may be required.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.Special Skill Requirements: (1) COBOL; (2) DB2; (3) CICS; (4) Agile; (5) FileAid; (6) JCL; (7) Github; (8) SQL; (9) Shell Script; (10) Java; (11) JavaScript; and (12) VSAM. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
