United Parcel Service General Services, Co. seeks Lead Software Development Engineer in Parsippany, NJ:Job Duties: Apply the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites and provides systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery of technical solutions is on time and within budget. Research and support the integration of emerging technologies, provide knowledge and support for applications’ development, integration, and maintenance and develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Analyze requirements, test, and integrate application components and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. Define application complexity drivers, estimate development efforts, create milestones and/or timelines, and track progress towards completion. Identify and recommend improvements to the software development lifecycle. Develop the roadmap and guidelines for tailoring agile practices for a complex and dynamic software development project. Execute project management tasks, prioritizing multiple project plans and managing resources. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from UPS offices in Parsippany, NJ.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.Special Skill Requirements: (1) Google Cloud Platform; (2) BigQuery; (3) Azure; (4) OpenShift; (5) Kubernetes and Docker; (6) APIs; (7) Microservices; (8) SQL DB; (9) Jira and Confluence; (10) Angular; (11) AWS; (12) SSIS & SSRS; (13) Dot Net; (14) APIGee API enablement; and (15) CI/CD.
