Company: Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC Location:379 Interpace Parkway, Parsippany, NJ 07054 Position Title:Lead EngineerJob Description:Responsible for the software production process which involves designing, building, and maintaining structures in the development team. Leverage technical skills to write, organize, and evaluate codes, team management skills to guide and develop developers, and project management skills to plan and track progress for execution. Lead and manage the development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Design and develop new software solutions and maintain existing software systems. Identify development opportunities and prioritize projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the team meets deadlines and requirements. Provide technical oversight and ensure software quality standards are met. Develop and manage project plans and timelines. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates. Salary: $190,000 to $195,000/year.Job Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science or a directly related field plus six (6) years of experience as a software developer. Experience must include:Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):•Experience in communicating with business users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provides estimates and meet production deadlines•Experience in Java and Angular•Experience in RESTful API development•Experience designing and developing microservices architecturesFour (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):•Experience with mission-critical 24*7 systems•Experience with SQL, Kafka Message Streaming, or Amazon Web Services (AWS)Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):•Experience working in an agile environment•Deployment and operation of applications in Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)•Experience managing Kubernetes Pod autoscaling with HPA or KEDA•Experience using kubectl for managing/debugging Kubernetes workloads•Experience with AWS lAM roles and policies•Secrets management using AWS Secrets Manager•Building Cl/CD pipelines using BitBucket, GitHub, or similar•Experience with GitOps practices using Argo CD, Gitlab Cl/CD, or similar•Experience with TLS, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and role-based access controls•Logging and monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and DynatraceTo Apply: please email TA.RecruitmentMarketing@abg.com.
