Overview
PITT OHIO, a high service transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking a Diesel Technician- 2nd Shift with tractor and trailer repair experience at our Parma, OH Terminal.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 2:30 PM- 11 PM
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $28.53 - $33.53/hour
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience, skill set and additional potential earnings.
Additional Potential Earnings:
- Shift Differential: Additional $1.50/hour for eligible shifts
- CDL Premium: Additional $1.00/hour for employees holding a valid CDL
- ASE Certification Bonus: Up to $3.20/hour based on active ASE certifications
- Tool Allowance: Annual $600 tool allowance provided

Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly;
- Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly;
- Informs management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions;
- Identifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and takes steps to solve issue if possible;
- Correctly completes work orders and documents;
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance;
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects;
- Analyze malfunctions and perform general overhaul, tune up or preventive maintenance of equipment;
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment;
- Plan work procedure using charges, technical manuals and experience;
- Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.
OTHER DUTIES
- Travel to other company shop locations when staff is needed
- React to change productivity and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with one verifiable experience;
A valid state-issued driver's license;
Must pass DOT physical and drug screen;
A CDL, ASE and State and/or Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required;
Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;
