Dates of need: 3/15/2026 -10/31/2026. This application encompasses: general farm labor for onions, wheat, corn, beans, carrot seed, onions, and pastures. This is a skill level II position, and the job requires a minimum of 3 months of general farm labor and agricultural equipment operation including vehicles that do not require a CDL. Workers will be required to work independently with minimal supervision once daily tasks are given. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds.\ General Farm Work will include the following duties:\ 1.Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops, also occasionally operating equipment like forklifts.\ 2.Make mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery.\ 3.May mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable) Workers may need to identify weeds, measure chemicals, and be able to operate spray equipment including spray backpack or atvs.\ 4.Remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds (weeding).\ 5.Remove rocks from fields, edges fields, concrete ditches, etc.\ 6.Build, maintain, repair, farm structures.\ 7.Replace, repair fencing.\ 8.Perform general clean-up of farm areas.\ 9.Drive, unload/load crops with non-CDL, farm exempt 10-wheelers and semi-trucks.\ 10.Handling and sorting of produce throughout harvest (be able to stand long hours on harvest equipment and sort crop with foreign material).\ 11.Operate motor bike, all-terrain vehicle (ATVs), John Deere Gators, while performing job duties.\ 12.Workers may attend food safety trainings.\ 13. Digging ditch abd corrugates. Must be able to use a shovel continuously for an extended period of time.\ 14. Set gopher traps and identify gopher mounds.

The anticipated hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of these crops, weather, and the requirement to send crops to customers when needed, it is the\ prevailing practice to work more or different hours than those listed. A worker may be offered more than the specified hours of work, maybe offered work on federal holidays or the workers Sabbath as nursery/farm labor may need to take place seven days a week; however, the worker will not be required to work for more than the number of hours specified in the job order, or on the workers Sabbath or Federal holidays. Saturday work will be required. Workday start times vary depending on the weather. depending on the time of year, hours of daylight, and production requirements. There may be periods when little or no work will be available due to weather, time of year, and the requirements of the cropping or growing season. Workers must be able to work varying shifts as required by the season and work\ performed. Workers are notified of any change in the start times. Work may be performed during rain, light snow, cold, freezing temperatures and/or in high humidity and in\ temperatures over a 100 degrees F. Worker may be required to work in fields when crops are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions.\ Workers job duties may require split shifts (e.g. 5:00 am to 10:00am and 5:00pm to 8:00pm). Work hours may vary were there are periods when extra hours are offered and periods of\ reduced hours are available due to weather, crop conditions, and time of year.

Wheel Lines:\ 1.Start gasoline engines and operate controls to move lines across fields at specified intervals\ 2.Hook up wheel lines to water supply\ 3.Move wheel lines when needed\ 4.Fix and repair broken wheel lines so that they are in an operational manner\ 5.Fix and repair any water leaks on wheel lines so that they are in an operational manner\ Pivot Irrigation:\ 1.Push on swit h that activates circle sprinkler system\ 2.Turn on/off pivots\ 3.Learn and master operating a pivot\ 4.If a pivot is stuck, get it unstuck and in operating condition\ 5.Roll up/unroll pivot hoses\ 6.Unplug plugged up nozzles\ 7.Unplug plugged up hoses\ 8.Replace broken nozzles and hoses\ 9.Maintain operation of a pivot at optimum level

Irrigation Duties:\ Hand Lines:\ 1.Connect pipes\ 2.Check the alignment of pipe and adjust for proper water distribution\ 3.Attach lines to water supply\ 4.Prime/Turn on pump\ 5.Turn valves to start flow of water\ 6.Disassemble lines and carry pipes across fields at specified intervals\ 7.Move pipes through freshly irrigated crop and/or plowed fields where mud may be deep at times\ 8.Lift and carry pipe sections weighing approximately 60 pounds on a sustained basis\ Flood Irrigation:\ 1.Lift gate inside of flooded irrigation ditch/pipe permitting water to flow into bordered section of field\ 2.Shovel and pack dirt in low spots of embankment of cut trenches in high areas to direct water flow\ 3.Close gates in ditch/pipe when bordered section is flooded\ 4.Open gate or connect pipe to underground pipe system that releases water flow into reservoir or ditch\ 5.Siphon water from flooded reservoir or ditch to channel water into designated areas\ 6.Shovel or hoe soil to clear ditches/f
