Temporary Fulltime position from 4-1-2026 to 1-25-2027 42 Hours/week $13.03/ hour US worker H-2A Adverse Housing Compensation Adjustment -$1.80 -- Wage for H-2A workers provided housing is $11.23 General Farm Hand position will be required to perform any combination of the following tasks for a farming operation: Must be able to operate tractors and farm implements required to plant, cultivate, and harvest hay and other crops; must manually hoist/stack hay bales; pick rocks, repair/replace fence in rough terrain. Assist with moving cattle and calving. Worker will be required to help with irrigation during the heat of summer months. Mechanical skills and experience are required to use equipment necessary to perform the tasks above. Worker will be required to perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm equipment. Irrigation required for pivots and flood irrigating. Must be able to connect pipes, check alignments, attach lines to water supply, turn on pumps and valves, start gas engines for wheels lines. Lift gates and shovel and pack dirt to direct water flow for flood irrigation, as well as connect pipe to underground pipe system. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions. Worker must be able to crouch, bend, lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Housing and Workers Compensation insurance will be provided at no charge to the workers. Social security / Medicaid Taxes and Federal / State taxes will be withheld from U.S. Worker?s paychecks. Voluntary withholdings will be deducted from foreign workers? paychecks at their request. Employer will make the following deductions when applicable: FICA, loans and advances, long-distance telephone charges the reasonable repair or replacement cost of willful or negligent damage to housing, tools and equipment caused by the worker (other than normal wear and tear)..Employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
