We are looking for a reliable professional to join our team in a dual-capacity role as a Delivery Driver and Shop Assistant. This position is designed for someone who appreciates a balanced workday: youll manage the transportation and secure delivery of our equipment, while also providing essential hands-on support in our service shop.
We operate with a "one-team" philosophy where every role is clearly defined but collaborative; you wont just be a driver or just a shop hand, but a key link in our process who ensures that when equipment leaves our shop, its ready for the customer. Responsibilities
Logistics and Delivery:
- Transportation: Safely transport equipment across both rural roads and high-traffic urban areas like DFW.
- Trailer Operations: Load, unload, and secure heavy machinery on company trailers, working both independently and with the team.
- Customer Representation: Act as the final point of contact for clients. You will manage ETAs, communicate deviations, and ensure every delivery or repair completion leaves a professional, lasting impression.
Service and Shop Support:
- Technical Assistance: Support the Service Manager and mechanics by assembling mowers, installing accessories, and detailing merchandise for customer pickup.
- Facility Maintenance: Take pride in our shop environment through regular organization, merchandise washing, and grounds maintenance (mowing and weed-eating).
- Customer Loading: Assist walk-in customers with the professional loading and unloading of their equipment.
Qualifications
- Technical Driving Skills: Must be proficient with manual transmissions (stick shift) and highly skilled at maneuvering large trailers in challenging city conditions.
- Physical Capability: High mobility is required; you must be able to load and secure large equipment independently.
- Clean Record: A valid Drivers License and a clean driving record are required. Applicants must be able to pass a background check.
- Team Attitude: A proactive, "all-hands-on-deck" mindset is essential. We value individuals who are ready to assist in any capacity the Service Manager or team requires.
Hours:Standard 8-hour shifts; local routes
Summer Schedule (March - September):Monday through Saturday.
Winter Schedule (October - February):Monday through Friday.
Growth:This is an entry-level position with a clear path for advancement within the company for those who show initiative.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
