JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and process planning.
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods.
Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical & operations personnel.
Maintain housekeeping at and around department.
Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College degree in related field preferred.
2 + years in engineering or related field with proven skills.
Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
Effective communication skills and human relations skills.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
