Position SummaryTo independently process and report laboratory findings in accordance with policies and procedures of The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations to facilitate quality patient care.EducationBachelor's degree and certification at the Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP, and AMT) or bachelor's degree and categorical certification consistent with the work performed for Chemistry (ASCP).Experience5-year clinical laboratory experience in referred testing or a strong clinical chemistry background.SkillsMT, MLS or chemistry categorical certification (ASCP and AMT) Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, frequently changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This individual must have the ability to function competently in a changing work environment to work cooperatively within the health-system and with multidisciplinary team members. As well as the ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities and use critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve and deliver service.
