: GENERAL PURPOSE Performs professional legal work on a part-time basis to support the County Attorneys Office by providing legal research and analysis. This position provides part-time coverage through September 20, 2026 with a possible extension to March 1, 2027, to address workload demands and special projects while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and County policies. SUPERVISION EXERCISED None

: ESSENTIAL DUTIES Conduct legal research and analysis on statues, case law, ordinances, and regulatory requirements relevant to assigned matters. Prepare, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, agreements, and memoranda. Draft legal opinions and recommendations to support decision-making and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Demonstrate working knowledge of the rules of evidence, civil procedure, and other relevant Nebraska statues. Review, analyze, and interpret contracts, agreements, and procurement documents to ensure legal sufficiency and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Perform other duties as assigned.
