Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description
This Civil Engineer role focuses on land development projects, where you will interpret local regulations, design site infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and support projects from feasibility through construction. You will work closely with an integrated, collaborative team to deliver high-quality, compliant designs while contributing to a culture that values innovation, professional growth, and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Interpret and apply local SALDO, zoning, floodplain, and stormwater ordinances to ensure compliant project designs.
Design site grading, layout, roadways, and utilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with project requirements and standards.
Develop sanitary sewer and water system profiles, details, and associated design documentation.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and technical reports that meet regulatory and project standards.
Assist with stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design for land development projects.
Assemble and coordinate permit applications for local, state, and federal agencies, including NPDES and PennDOT submissions.
Support construction activities by performing site inspections, responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.
Produce, update, and submit as-built record plans to the appropriate regulatory authorities.
Contribute to site analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate development potential and constraints.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members to solve design challenges and deliver integrated project solutions.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
5–8 years of experience in the civil engineering field.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design, grading, and utility layout.
Experience interpreting and applying SALDO, zoning, floodplain, and stormwater ordinances.
Hands-on experience with land development design and permitting.
Experience preparing sanitary sewer and water system profiles and details.
Ability to prepare cost estimates and technical reports that meet regulatory standards.
Experience supporting stormwater and erosion control design.
Experience assembling permit applications for agencies such as NPDES and PennDOT.
Experience supporting construction activities, including inspections, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews.
Ability to produce and submit accurate as-built record plans to regulatory authorities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Land development experience preferred, including site layout and infrastructure design.
Civil 3D experience beyond basic drafting, including design and calculations, preferred.
Experience with site analysis and feasibility studies for land development projects.
Experience with land development permitting processes at local, state, and federal levels.
Experience with PennDOT permitting and coordination.
Experience as a designer with experience in calculations, permitting, feasibility studies, and site development is highly valued.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, permits, and technical correspondence.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work in an integrated, cross-disciplinary team environment.
Motivation to grow professionally and participate in strategic and community-focused initiatives.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paoli, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $55.28/hr.
